Why solar works here

Solar power built for New South Wales

NSW gets strong, reliable sunshine from the Hunter Valley to the south coast, and with grid prices climbing, every kilowatt you generate and use yourself is money kept in your pocket. The best system for a weatherboard home in Maitland is not the same as one for a coastal roof in Wollongong or a warehouse in Tuggerah, so we design each one from scratch.

Upfront cost is less of a hurdle than it used to be. Through the NSW Government's Home Energy Saver program, eligible homeowners and landlords can borrow up to $15,000 interest-free for solar and batteries, and repay it over up to 10 years.

We're not a one-size-fits-all installer. As SAA-accredited designers and installers, we assess your roof, your power bills and your local network's connection rules, then build a system that delivers real, reliable output backed by quality panels, inverters and solid warranties.

What shapes a good NSW solar system

Three things every NSW solar quote should account for.

Two networks, two rulebooks

The Hunter and Central Coast sit on the Ausgrid network; the Illawarra and Macarthur sit on Endeavour Energy. Each sets its own connection and export rules, and we design to the one at your address.

Coastal roofs

Homes near the coast in Newcastle, the Central Coast and Wollongong need corrosion-rated mounting and hardware to last the life of the system.

Batteries for business

Since 1 September 2026, NSW businesses can get an upfront discount on battery storage. Pairing a battery with new solar earns a higher rate, so it pays to plan both together.

Solar rebates in NSW

NSW homes and businesses can stack federal and state incentives, applied as an upfront discount on your quote. Eligible households can then spread what's left over up to 10 years, interest-free.

NSW households

NSW Home Energy Saver interest-free loan

Borrow up to $15,000 at zero interest for rooftop solar and home batteries, and repay it over up to 10 years. It's open to property owners, including landlords, with a combined taxable household income of up to $210,000. Federal discounts come off the price first, and the loan can cover the rest. Discounts of up to $4,000 for lower-income households are coming soon.

Federal solar rebate (STCs)

Small-scale Technology Certificates cut the upfront cost of an eligible system, applied as an instant discount.

Mid-scale business solar

From 1 October 2026, eligible systems above 100 kW and up to 1 MW can claim STCs, with a fixed five-year deeming period.

Cheaper Home Batteries Program

Around 30% off an eligible battery for homes and small businesses. With no NSW battery installation rebate for households right now, this is the main home battery discount.

NSW business battery incentive

Since 1 September 2026, eligible business batteries from 20 kWh to 30 MWh can get an upfront discount, which the NSW Government puts at around 20 to 40% of battery cost.

NSW VPP incentive

Homes and small businesses can receive up to $1,000 for connecting an eligible battery of up to 50 kWh to a virtual power plant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which parts of NSW do you service?
We install across the Hunter, Central Coast, Illawarra and Macarthur regions, including Newcastle, Maitland, Singleton, the Central Coast, Wyong, Wollongong and Campbelltown, plus the ACT.
Is there a NSW battery rebate for homes?
There's no NSW installation rebate for home batteries right now. NSW households can still use the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, the NSW VPP incentive of up to $1,000 for connecting an eligible battery to a virtual power plant, and the Home Energy Saver interest-free loan to spread the remaining cost.
Can I use the NSW interest-free loan for solar and a battery?
Yes, if you're eligible. The NSW Government's Home Energy Saver program offers zero-interest loans of up to $15,000 for upgrades including rooftop solar and home batteries, repayable over up to 10 years. It's open to property owners, including landlords, who are Australian citizens or permanent residents with a combined taxable household income of up to $210,000. Federal discounts such as STCs and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program come off the price first, and the loan can cover the rest.
Can my business get a battery incentive in NSW?
Yes. Since 1 September 2026, eligible business batteries from 20 kWh to 30 MWh can receive an upfront discount through the NSW Peak Demand Reduction Scheme, with a higher rate when new solar is installed alongside.
Do you install commercial solar systems over 100 kW?
Yes. From 1 October 2026, eligible business systems above 100 kW and up to 1 MW can claim the upfront STC discount, with a fixed five-year deeming period.
Are you accredited?
Yes. Our designers and installers are SAA-accredited, so your system meets the standards required for rebate eligibility and safe operation.
